PanARMENIAN.Net - In 2025, Azerbaijan exported a total of $788,800 worth of fuel to Armenia, according to data published by Azerbaijan's State Customs Committee, as reported by Report.az.
There were no recorded exports from Armenia to Azerbaijan during the same period.
Notably, on December 18, 2025, Armenia imported 1,220 tons of AI-95 gasoline from Azerbaijan. Earlier, on January 9, it received 1,742 tons of AI-95 gasoline and 956 tons of diesel fuel, followed by 979 tons of AI-92 automotive fuel on January 11.
Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan commented on the imports, stating: "Purchasing this fuel, as far as I understand, is very beneficial for Armenian citizens. I saw calls for a boycott, but also learned that there were queues for this fuel."
When asked why Azerbaijan supplies cheap fuel to Armenia, Mirzoyan replied: "Because peace has been established and cooperation must develop. Their cargo should pass through our territory, and ours should pass through theirs."
