Earthquake of magnitude 5.5 hits western Uzbekistan

TASHKENT, 20th May, 2026 (WAM) -- A 5.5-magnitude earthquake struck western Uzbekistan on Wednesday, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said.

The earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometres, according to the EMSC.
