PanARMENIAN.Net - On February 25, 4,500 tons of diesel fuel will be delivered from Azerbaijan to Armenia. The shipment will be transported by rail, APA reports.
According to the report, under the peace agenda between Azerbaijan and Armenia, supplies of petroleum products from Azerbaijan to Armenia began on December 18 of last year.
On December 19, a train consisting of 22 tank cars loaded with gasoline from Azerbaijan's SOCAR company entered Armenia, followed by two additional consignments.
Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan also addressed the issue of importing Azerbaijani gasoline, stating: "As far as I understand, the purchase of gasoline is very beneficial for Armenian citizens. I saw calls for a boycott, but I also learned that there are queues for that gasoline."
Asked why Azerbaijan is supplying cheap gasoline to Armenia, Mirzoyan replied: "Because peace has been established and cooperation must be formed. Azerbaijani and Turkish cargo should also pass through our territory, and we must pass through theirs."
