Trade among EAEU countries nears 100 bln dollars: Japarov

ST. PETERSBURG, Dec. 22 (Xinhua) -- Intra-regional trade among member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) reached nearly 100 billion U.S. dollars in 2025, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov said on Sunday.

Addressing a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, Japarov said the figure reflected not only growing economic exchanges but also trust, mutual support and genuine interest among EAEU members.

Japarov also stressed the need for more effective measures to increase the share of intra-union trade in EAEU's overall trade turnover, noting that trade serves as a practical indicator of the depth of integration.

"Despite the progress achieved, we continue to face a number of challenges that require additional attention and coordinated action," he said.

Launched in 2015, the EAEU comprises five member states: Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia.
