PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijani parliament speaker Sahiba Gafarova raised concerns about specific elements in the EU-Armenia Strategic Partnership Agenda during her meeting in Baku with EU Ambassador to Azerbaijan Marianna Koyundzic, Minval.az reports.

Koyundzic congratulated Azerbaijan on its achievements toward peace with Armenia, calling the progress a historic event. She emphasized that the peace process is important not only for the region but also for Europe and the world.

Gafarova outlined steps taken to advance the peace process, including confidence-building measures between the parliaments of the two countries.

She also criticized what she called the European Parliament's "biased anti-Azerbaijani resolutions," arguing that the current regional realities and progress in Baku-Yerevan peace talks clearly demonstrate the partial nature of those documents.

Earlier, Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry had objected to the EU-Armenia agenda signed in Brussels on December 2, claiming it contradicts the peace process with Baku. In particular, Azerbaijan rejected the use of the term "displaced Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh," asserting they left voluntarily and declined reintegration, and that "labeling them as refugees reflects a one-sided approach."
