PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia's Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan confirmed that railway-based wheat deliveries through Azerbaijan are ongoing. He made the statement while speaking to journalists in parliament, Armenpress reports.

"There are new batches currently on the way," Papoyan said in response to questions about the continuity of supplies.

He declined to specify the countries of origin but promised to release detailed tonnage data upon arrival: "When the shipments arrive, I'll provide the tonnage. I can't share more at this time."

On November 6 and 8, Armenia received wheat shipments of 1,000 tons each from Russia and Kazakhstan, respectively, transported by rail through Azerbaijani territory. Azerbaijan previously announced it had lifted all transit restrictions on goods bound for Armenia. Russia's Transport Ministry said up to 132 more wagons of wheat would be shipped to Armenia through Azerbaijan by the end of January 2026.
