Inner Mongolia's "wolf raiser"

24 Feb 2021, 17:30 GMT+10

HOHHOT, Feb. 24 (Xinhua) -- Bagatur from Hulun Buir in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region has been raising wolves for 14 years. Now, around 200 wolves live under his care.

"I have loved it since I was a child. I have been raising them since I was a teenager," said Bagatur. "When I was in school, my parents didn't let me raise them, as they were concerned about my studies. Even after graduation, I stayed the same."

Bagatur says with permission, he would like to donate to places that have no wolves. "It would be my honor," he said.

With the support of the local government, a theme park based on wolf culture has been established, together with a wildlife rescue station. With their love of animals spanning decades, Bagatur and his son have devoted themselves to saving wild animals and showing visitors the unique wolf culture of the Inner Mongolia grasslands.
