Fox News gets racist tag

The Fox News Channel in New York was surrounded by demonstrators on Wednesday.

They were protesting a so-called racist campaign coverage, which referred to Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama as a terrorist.

The crowd of some 150 people took a petition with more than 600,000 signatures to object to the network’s news coverage, which they described as racist.

The protesters were objecting to Fox coverage in which an on-screen graphic called Michelle Obama 'Obama's baby mama' and a newsman who confused Obama with Osama bin Laden, then joked they should both be assassinated.

A spokeswoman for Fox said the company believed in all protesters exercising their right to free speech.
