PanARMENIAN.Net - On January 15, 2026, Armenian and Azerbaijani representatives jointly inspected the current state of infrastructure along the Yeraskh-Sadarak railway line, according to Armenia's Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure.
The primary aim of the inspection was to evaluate the technical suitability of the railway section for the movement of specialized construction equipment, with a view toward implementing comprehensive restoration efforts.
"During the inspection, both sides exchanged views regarding the technical condition of the railway infrastructure in the section," the statement said.
Earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that his government expects Russia to respond promptly to Armenia's request for the urgent restoration of key railway links leading toward Azerbaijan and Turkey.
