Azeri SOCAR to Halt Oil Exports via Russia in February

BAKU, Dec 5 (Reuters) – Azerbaijan's state energy company, SOCAR, plans to halt oil exports via Russia in February, opting instead to send the bulk of its crude through Turkey while retaining some to cover rising domestic demand for oil products, a SOCAR official said. "Azerbaijan will stop oil exports by the Baku-Novorossiisk pipeline in February," an official from SOCAR's marketing department told Reuters. "Oil exports via Russia will reach 1.8 million tonnes by the end of 2013. We will ship 1.5 million tonnes through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline next year and send 300,00...
